The landscape of grief support became clear to me: On one side, you have mental health & medical resources that could support one in navigating the physical, psychological, emotional, etc. impacts of grief. Then on the other side, there are the legal and financial services that some grievers with fiduciary roles have the resources to access. Because I look at everything through a policy lens, I saw the gap clearly. As my research finds, this patchwork of grief support leaves grievers unsupported, specifically those in the workplace who are also balancing their fiduciary roles. What I needed when I was sole executor, and what my research demonstrates executors, trustees, and other estate fiduciaries need, is the impetus of Soul Executor.
